The Zara City Bag

When I was trying to work out what to ask for as a Birthday Present this year (end of April). I was trawling the internet looking for inspiration when I saw a youtube video about this bag, and it looked perfect. Since I was in about year 10 at school, I have used hundreds of different bags to carry my school/college/university books around in, and they all break really quickly!

My requirements for this bag where that they could hold a lot of stuff, I carry university books, notebooks, folders and want something I could take home for the weekend. It also needed to be stylish, I wanted to carry it around at university without looking sloppy.

The bag has five main sections, all about the same size. 3 of them are zip fastened and two just have large magnetic poppers. The two sections with poppers also have some organizational stuff within them. The first has a section for your phone, a section for 5 cards and a small zipped area, I tend to use this as the ‘handbag area’ to keep my keys, purse and phone in them. The other section has a padded zipped area within in perfect for holding a tablet.

The two outside zipped areas are just normal large sized pouches, which are perfect for folders, notebooks ect. The middle zipped up area is padded all around so you can store a laptop in it. The padding is actually quiet thick so your laptop won’t get hurt and as it’s in the middle it would be knocked is you hit the bag against something or if you drop it.

The bag looks really stylish with the plain black textured material, gold zips, poppers and the metal sections on the handles. Inside of the bag is lined with a dark sort of aubergine purple. The lining also goes all around the main pockets with the exception of the ‘handbag section’ which has black leather look sections.

Over all I really like this bag and holds loads, in fact more that I would every want to carry. The lining really gives the bag a sophisticated look and stands up to everything I have put it through.

The only bad thing I can find is that the zips don’t close seamlessly, they quiet often get stuck at some point along the zip. They always do close however it does take a lot of fiddling, I have heard some other bag owners say that have similar problems, so I don’t just have a dodgy one.

If they could sort the zip out this bag would be perfect, as it is it’s average and I will use it. However It does make it use slightly harder.

Hope your all well!

My Hair extension story

My Primark clip in extensions

I always seemed to have had really fine hair, and over the last five years it seems to have become even worse due to my under active thyroid. So I have tried a number of different hairstyles trying to make my hair look thicker and like it has more volume.

While I was in Primark earlier in the year, I saw a set of hair extensions. With them being in Primark they were dirt cheap, so I decided to give them a go. My flatmate in my first year of uni wore hair extensions everyday, and I honestly always saw them as tacky and fake. When I got home I looked up some youtube videos and tried out my new hair extensions.

Being from Primark, they didn’t last very long and soon became really knotted and horrible within a few weeks. And I still hadn’t got the courage to actually wear them outside.

For my birthday this year, I decided to ask for a proper set of hair extensions as my present. I looked up a number of reviews to try and find the best set for me, I eventually decided that I would get them from HeadKandy.

They were great at helping me pick what colour would match my hair, and amazingly they match perfectly. When I went out a few weeks ago, to a more indie club I decided it was the perfect opportunity to wear them out for the first time.

With a little help from my boyfriend, I managed to get them into my hair without too many clips showing and surprisingly people didn’t think it was really obvious. even though my hair had grown loads.

Finally worked out how to make them look natural!

It’s strange how my thoughts on extensions have changed but I think today they are moved to look much more realistic. What are your thought?

Getting ready: New bag

My new bag!

The days and weeks left until we going back to university seem to be counting down quickly. So it’s time to start getting ready. I am sure if you are about the start your first year then you have already gone out and started buying all your important new things.

So while I was shopping with my best friend, Alisha, the other day I spotted the perfect university bag for me. While I was on holiday in Italy this year I picked up a knock off Louis Vuitton handbag. When I started using the bag I loved that the inside of the bag was divided into three equal with the middle pocket having a separate zip. The three sections meant that I could keep my handbag a little more organized. I am sure you girls know that’s very useful!

So I realized that this is what I want for my University bag. In one day I could have three lectures without time to go back to my house to collect new stuff so I would have to carry it all around. Having the bag divided meant that I could have a section for each of my lectures.

This bag was also really good because it has 3 external pockets for putting loose things in. I will do another blog post when I have all my other uni stuff!

What are you most looking forward to buying?

This bag was brought from The Little Bag Company. I Purchased the bag with my own money and have no affiliation with the company!
